Corpus Christi is the commercial, medical and educational center of a well-defined regional market serving an eight-county area with a population
of more than 600,000.
Located on the Texas Gulf Coast, Corpus Christi is 207 miles southwest of Houston, 143 miles southeast of San Antonio and 152 miles north of McAllen and the Rio Grande Valley.
From a regional perspective, the eight-county surrounding Corpus Christi is a captive retail market. There is not a major competitive retail market within 140 miles of the Corpus Christi.
